Black Spot Preventer is a powerful and concentrated product formulated to stop black spots from returning and to protect your surface all year round. 5 litres of the product will cover up to 50 m³.
Its unique spray and leave formula is easy to use and effective on your surfaces.
Suitable for
Black Spot Preventer is suitable for hard surfaces such as patios, tarmac, concrete, block paving, stone, steps, paths, masonry, cladding, brickwork and more!
Directions of use
Can be diluted up to 1:3 (one part of Black Spot Preventer and three parts of water).
With its spray and leave formula, there is no need to rinse. Black Spot Preventer will start to work immediately! You will begin to see results within 2-3 days.
It is advisable to clean the area before use: remove any loose dirt so that the area is smooth and ready for application. Black Spot Preventer must be used on dry surfaces, with no rain forecast for the next 12 hours. Once dry, surfaces are safe for children and pets.
To prevent black spots, it is advised to use the Black Spot Preventer three times a year.
Pressure Sprayer
Experience the power of the 5 litre outdoor pressure sprayer with lance, designedfor heavy-duty use. Equipped with an adjustable nozzle, safety pressure release valve, and locking pump handle, this sprayer is your perfect companion for all your outdoor projects. The lightweight lance with trigger and trigger lock allows for easy handling and precise spraying. Don't forget to take advantage of the included carry strap for added convenience!
After use, discard safely any unused solution. Add a little detergent and some warm (not hot) water to the sprayer and spray some of the contents through. Repeat with cold water. Check that the nozzle and the grooves in the nozzle spindle are free from sediment.

I had cleaned my Indian Sandstone patio using the Sodium Hypochlorite - the only way to restore it. Some stubborn black spot marks left so treated afterwards with this and over the course of 2-3 weeks more of the black spot seemed to almost dissolve. Very pleased with the result so I have bought some more! Beware - the Sodium Hypochlorite is aggressive and did dissolve my pointing but I am still happy as I now have a bright coloured patio again. I will use the Black Spot Preventer to try and keep under control. Wish I had taken a "before" pic as my patio was dark grey and no colour prior to treatment. Thanks also to Chloe - great service.

it has to be frequently re-applied
I di not research the product well enough, because I did not realise that it had to be re-applied every 4 months or so.I hope that two applications a year will be sufficient, but we will have to wait and see. The price and delivery time were good

Sodium Hypochlorite is used for more stubborn stains. The recommended dilution ratio is 5:1 however, the dilution ratio can be increased if needed.
The shelf life of Sodium Hypochlorite is 24 months from purchase, however due to the nature of the product, it will slowly start to lose strength after 3 months.
Yes, Sodium Hypochlorite is generally safe to use on Indian Sandstone, however the product must be diluted and tested on a small area first to check for adverse reactions.
